It’s here! The countdown to the twenty-third edition of the Malaga Film Festival has arrived. Like the previous years, it has the main objective of supporting Spanish film productions, through the dissemination of cinematographic and cultural works in relation to the seventh art.
The opening ceremony of the festival will take place at the Cervantes Theater on March 13, at 8:00 p.m., and tickets are on sale on the official website of the Festival to honor the seventh art, especially Spanish.
As each edition awards will be given and tributes will be made to film figures in recognition of their work and trajectories. This year the Malaga Prize will be for the Mexican director, producer and actor Gael García Bernal, awarded a Golden Globe for his role in Mozart in the Jungle and known for his films Amores perros, And your mom too.
The cultural programming is fabulous and extensive: feature films, documentaries and short films, special premieres, tributes, women’s rights thematic area and kitchen area, 5 film concerts and one closing on March 22. In short, an opportunity that moviegoers should not miss.
